I was born in Seattle, Washington, USA, but grew up in the nearby Cascade Mountains. In 2000, I received a bachelor's degree with a focus in history from the Evergreen State College. My current permanent address is in Budapest, Hungary, but I often stay elsewhere in eastern Europe.
Although I write on a variety of topics, health writing is my specialty. I entered the field of health writing 12 years ago, when I started work with a small (now defunct) natural health magazine in 2000. After approximately two years there, I obtained a Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and left to teach English as a foreign language, although I continued writing for a number of private clients.
In spring of 2010, I began writing for livestrong.com, Lance Armstrong's health and fitness website. Writing there continuously since that time has helped me to stay current on the latest research and developments concerning a variety of common health issues, such as weight loss, muscle building, diabetes, and arthritis.
In addition, I run several of my own niche websites and blogs, so I keep up on topics important to internet marketers, like keyword research and article SEO. I also run www.healthplrcontent.com where I provide health-related private label rights articles to those who want high quality material at a lower cost.
